While our family has a condo on the beach, we're a bot sheltered from all the hubbub surrounding the down cycle of businesses in the region, none-the-less, this IS the hidden gem of Florida. Those who visit frequently, understand, those who haven't GO! Cheap eats, the best sunsets, clean beaches, shopping, fishing is preeeemo, and some of the best places to drive and get away from everyone. I once walked with my family on a beach in Bonita and saw one couple, this was a stretch of beach that was 2-mile long! Five hours away to the South an overnight trip to Key West and you'll be sold! We go every year, maybe twice if we can. Happy sunsets!
