Excellence in Design: Celebrating London Bay’s Sand Dollar Award Wins

London Bay and its partners were recently presented 10 sought-after Sand Dollar Awards during the Collier Building Industry Association’s Sales and Marketing Council’s annual program, “Midsummer Night’s Dream – Dream it. Build it. Honor it.”

As the highest accolades given by the CBIA, the Sand Dollar Awards recognize the best in building, design and more. London Bay received top honors for product, design, renovation and marketing for a variety of elite projects in Southwest Florida.

In Aqualane Shores, London Bay Homes earned Best Specialty Feature for the impressive, oversized clubroom in its exquisite luxury showcase estate at 256 Aqua Court. The unique room is envisioned as a multifunctioning space – an elegant study as a home office and an inviting lounge positioned in a wall of windows with a French door leading outside to the pool and spa deck. Located off a sun-filled gallery, the spacious room provides a sophisticated retreat for the master suite as well as a destination for entertaining guests and watching TV, featuring custom shelves cleverly built into niches, contemporary artwork and sculpture, and a variety of textural accents complementing the walnut hardwood flooring.

London Bay’s design partner, Romanza Interior Design, also received Best Master Suite for the five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom Aqua Court estate. Glimmers of gold in art, chandeliers and lamps add a touch of old Hollywood glamor to the wing-spanning master suite and bathroom. Filled with natural sunlight, the suite boasts a large bedroom under a dropped ceiling, dual walk-in closets and a luxurious bathroom with two vanities on each side of an elegant freestanding tub, plus double water closets, and a spacious glass-front shower with a window.

A reimagined private residence in Park Shore earned London Bay Renovation awards for Whole House Remodel and Best Kitchen Design. The three-and-a-half-story luxury villa on Casa Mar Lane underwent a whole-home renovation that reinvigorated an outdated floor plan, updated finishes and enhanced outdoor areas, transforming the family’s nostalgic Naples winter home built in the late-1980s into a modern-day beach retreat for future generations to enjoy. The fragmented floor plan was replaced with an open-concept featuring four bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths and 4,463 square feet. The new floor plan opens the living room to the kitchen, which now features an island with seating for four and a former breakfast nook envisioned as an elegant dining room. It also created a new entertainment lounge with a wet bar and shiplap-clad window banquette in the former dining room, a space previously confined by freestanding floor-to-ceiling columns.

In Moraya Bay Beach, located on the 10th floor, a simple yet striking three-bedroom condominium by London Bay Renovation received top honors for Interior Design of the Year – Remodel and Best Master Suite. Following a major renovation, the team was able to create an open concept layout showcasing serene colors, interesting and effortless textures, and an array of new furnishings that embody the clients’ seasonal lifestyle and distinct personal tastes. In the kitchen, the former butler’s pantry was reimagined as a sleek contemporary wine room with wet bar where a soft neutral palette is complemented by breathtaking blue Roma quartzite with shimmering copper veining. A dramatic transformation of the master suite resulted in a spacious modern masterpiece, replete with a contemporary bedroom showcasing stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico, a luxurious spa-inspired bathroom and a surprise element – a unique home office with a custom floating desk seamlessly hidden within.

London Bay Development Group was awarded Product Design of the Year – Multi-Family Homes for the design of its model 301 residence in Grandview at Bay Beach. The coastal contemporary architecture of the 11-story tower that began welcoming residents last September – the first built on Estero Island in 15 years – is reflected in the luxury interiors of this designer-furnished model residence with panoramic vistas of the Gulf of Mexico and Estero Bay. Representing the building’s largest floor plan, the home spans 2,923 square feet under air, offers three bedrooms, a den, three full baths and a powder room, while also highlighting the area’s coveted indoor-outdoor lifestyle with screened and open-air terraces offering sunset and sunrise views.

London Bay’s exclusive development project, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Estero Bay, garnered the award for Best Direct Mail. The use of the brand’s rich color palette, project renderings and imagery helped recipients envision a new way of life through an enclosure of five postcards in invitation-style envelopes with tailored messaging. The mailer provided a more relaxed approach to luxury by playing up other unique aspects of the project: a deep connection to nature and integration with a larger community that includes distinctive neighborhood amenities, such as a marina and championship golf course.

London Bay was also awarded the distinct honor of Best Magazine for Private Label Living. Available digitally and in print, the publication conveys the essence of the London Bay brand philosophy – “private label living,” a vision and commitment of creating unparalleled lifestyles, beyond-luxury residences and communities with the highest level of quality, design, innovation, finishes and amenities. Published annually, the beautiful coffee table-style magazine gives readers an in-depth perspective of the award-winning builder-developer’s diverse range of projects and community initiatives.

Capping off another successful award season, Mediterra was named Community of the Year for the 16th consecutive year. Luxury homes in Mediterra are complemented by exclusive, unparalleled amenities in a setting immersed in over 1,700 acres dedicated to open space, golf, unique parks and gardens, and nature preserves connected by eight miles of walking paths. London Bay manages sales and operations at Mediterra, where a select offering of new home opportunities are available.
